The Chequered Flag…
Wow! Our inaugural Charity Car Show last September was a resounding success and so a huge thanks once again to all the drivers, dealerships, caterers, businesses and the school community for helping us achieve a maiden victory.
We sold out on driver /club tickets and on the day hosted over 100 cars, spanning 90 years of automotive creativity including marques and models typically reserved for much bigger and well known events in glorious September sunshine. Photos here: White Lightning Images
On the back of this, the school community turned out in their hundreds, with the children having a great time playing with the bouncy castles, Nerf shooting gallery, garden chess and other activities, leaving the adults to socialise, eat, drink, buy bundles of raffle tickets, bid on auctions and explore our multi-million pound selection of cars.
In the end we raised £5000 for our nominated charities Whizz Kidz and Friends of Copthorne.
Race 2 – Start Your Engines….
What better way to celebrate last year’s triumph than to run it again this year!
The Car Show team are already hard at work to produce another great show with lots of prizes and activities again, plus some extras. We are also extending admission to the local community.
As a taster we have Jardine Aston Martin Sevenoaks TESLA and Le Mans Coupes returning. Harwoods are biggest new addition partly sponsoring the event and bringing a Bentley, Range Rover and one other to show with each show car being auctioned off for a weekend test-drive*. We expect some other dealerships to join in due course.
We are also hoping, subject to final Health and Safety/Risk Assessment evaluation to have some EV’s on display to test drive so perhaps remember to bring your Driving Licence.
We also have the STIG and well known YouTuber “JayEmm“, joining us as guests.
Bounce Again! will once again be attending with bouncy castles and a few other garden games. Pro Slot Racing are bringing a 16x12ft Scalextric Track plus 2 racing simulators to test your driving skills.
Several stalls from last year are rejoining us and new stalls are also attending for your perusal.
We will update this section further in due course.
The most important people of all are the drivers willing to display their cars at our event and the people attending to view them/take part in the days activities. In that respect we invite you to register for your tickets free of charge in hope there will be kind donations to our chosen charities on they day.
