Description

As anyone who has been to Kop Hill Climb will tell you, (and there were around eighteen thousand attendees last year), the festival is so much more than a passive celebration of the history of motoring. More than anything, it’s a chance to get up close and personal with some amazing and rare cars and bikes. These days it’s one of the few affordable events where you and your family can hear, see, touch and experience such historic vehicles in action. What’s more, all this is set in its beautifully relaxed Chiltern Hills location with a real family friendly village atmosphere.

If the family wants a break from all the cars and bike action, then the festival boasts a tempting array of distractions.

Vintage clothing, antiques, memorabilia and art, we have just about everything you can think of that’s motoring related; a real village of delights.  Enjoy some great food and drink in the heart of the paddock or perhaps have some family time at the fun fair.  Come and cheer on your favourites in the soapbox challenge, ride the dodgems, go up in the air on the Ferris wheel for almost certainly the best view of the Chiltern Hills you’ll ever see. Alternatively, relax in the sun with a pint or a chilled prosecco and take in the live bands on the stage.  Even if cars and bikes are not the number one thing in your family’s world, they’ll find plenty to see and do.

The best news is that it’s all in aid of raising money for local good causes – so successful has the festival been that we are hoping to motor past the three quarter of a million pounds mark!

Opening Times

Gates open at 9:00am

The event closes at 6:00pm

Car Parking at Kop Hill Climb

Free car parking is provided at the event in adjacent fields.

Suitable foot wear is advisable.

Disabled Access

Kop Hill attempts to facilitate wheelchair users and has provided a disabled viewing area right by the start line. Space is limited, so one carer can be permitted with each wheelchair or mobility scooter.

The Grandstand and Viewing Carriers are unfortunately not accessible to wheel chair users.

Disabled Spectators should make themselves known to the Parking Stewards, they will be directed to a reserved parking area.

There are toilets for the disabled. One in the spectator field with the toilet block near the foot of Kop Hill, the other in the paddock adjacent to the stage and food area. Both have baby changing facilities.

Dogs at Kop Hill Climb

We welcome dogs to Kop Hill Climb with a few common sense rules followed.

Keep your pet on a short leash…with many spectators around and many vehicles on the move, especially at the start-line it is essential that your dog is under control at all times.

Clean it up…obvious we know but needless to say we want the event to be enjoyable and hygienic for everyone attending. There are many waste bins around the site so please “Bag it and Bin it”.
