Description
Manchester Cars & Coffee returns in August, raising money for the Veterans’ Garage military charity who are based at Barton Aerodrome.
Due to the excessive numbers attending in recent months this is now an advance ticketed meet. Tickets are available for £10 PER CAR, all proceeds are paid directly to the Veterans’ Garage charity.
Thank you to everyone who attended our first ticketed event in July. It was a huge success and GMP were very pleased with the traffic measures and new systems put in place to reduce congestion. Because of the new format, we are able to continue with this hugely popular meet.
Our Manchester Cars and Coffee meets are used by the Veterans’ Garage charity as part of their mental wellness programme. All proceeds raised supports their veteran beneficiaries and all the other amazing community based mental health initiatives that they provide. This charity is saving lives, their resources are sadly needed more than ever right now.
MCC is family friendly, inclusive and we welcome all kinds of incredible cars. Everyone can bring their car along.
On the day food & drinks will be available from the Veterans’ Garage lounge and at the Sopwith Bar & Grill. Proceeds from the VG lounge also help fund the charity.
A few housekeeping rules:
– Respect the surroundings when entering and leaving the airport.
– Strictly static, engines off when parked up.
– No popping and banging.
– Please don’t play loud offensive music.
– Enter the airport from the IRLAM side only, the right hand turn will be closed.
– Please don’t arrive before 9am.
– Look at cars but please don’t touch.
– Have fun and enjoy the morning.
