It’s back, Lympstone Manor’s ‘The Celebration of Speed’ returns for the third time and it will be bigger and better than ever before.
It should come as no surprise that I love life in the fast lane. I was closely involved with an F1 team for many years and liked nothing more than being trackside on race day, talking with the drivers and their teams, watching the race, taking in the smell of petrol and rubber, the incredible noise of motorcars being driven to their absolute limit.
I am therefore absolutely delighted to let you know that on July 12th we will be bringing back to Lympstone Manor our hugely popular ‘Celebration of Speed’. This will be the third time that we have created a festival dedicated entirely to all things motoring, including F1, supercars, powerful motorbikes, and sleek, beautiful, and fast powerboats. We will even have an F1 simulator here so you can strap in and try your hand against the likes of Lewis Hamilton.
We will be joined on the day by a star-studded line-up of F1 legends and motoring experts, including Damon Hill, Former F1 Championship driver and sky sports pundit and Rob Smedley, who as Felipe Massa’s former F1 engineer will be giving an insight into some of the human as well as mechanical challenges involved in motorsports at the highest level.
Our ‘Celebration of Speed’ gives prominence to fast cars and motorbikes, but the day itself will be anything but speedy. This is a relaxed, enjoyable, and totally unique opportunity to luxuriate amongst beautiful supercars while at the same time enjoying creative cuisine in the Lympstone Manor Restaurant as well as easy outdoor eating and drinking.
The Party in the Paddock will kick start in the evening with the line-up including internationally renowned Steve Knightly from Show of Hands, Scouting for Girls, Soul II Soul, and Judge Jules.
It is going to be amazing, a real celebration of motorsports, beautiful cars, fabulous foods and wines, all in the unique summer setting of our Lympstone Manor parkland just above the vineyard overlooking the beautiful Exe estuary.
